Meet the Alliance of Technology and Women Leadership Team

Joanne Goldberg - President
As Alliance of Technology and Women President, Joanne supports the Leadership Team in implementing all chapter programs. Joanne is a Principal QA/Systems Specialist in the IT department at Medtronic Microelectronics Center, supporting several application development teams. She uses her background in manufacturing, materials, quality, process improvement, and systems development to implement effective and efficient systems and processes that are compliant with regulatory requirements and deliver high-quality results.





Emilie Sundie – Vice President
As Vice-President of Alliance of Technology and Women, Emilie advises the President and Leadership Team on chapter matters and program implementation. She's a principal of The Sundie Group, a business that supports the implementation of water resource development and information systems projects, and has over thirty years experience in information systems. Emily began her career as a Systems Engineer with IBM and continued as an Information Services Consultant providing planning, systems design, programming and software implementation services. She also has extensive experience in the real estate and construction markets as a business analyst, project manager, and information services manager. Emilie has a Masters Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pennsylvania State University.


Paula Shoup - Great Minds Director
Paula directs the Great Minds Program, which involves developing and promoting programs that connect girls and young women with technology career options. Paula recently started a coaching, consulting and professional speaking business, internalGPS. Prior to starting her business, Paula was the Director of Strategic Sourcing at Medtronic where they produce implantable medical products. She has also held leadership positions in sourcing, supply chain, and manufacturing operations at Honeywell, United Technologies, and Motorola. Paula volunteers with the World Academy for the Future of Women, a program to promote and accelerate the advancement of women worldwide that is associated with the nonprofit, Global Interactions. She is also on the curriculum advisory board for the ITT Technical Institute.


Teresa Kaczmarowski - Mentoring Director
Teresa manages the Mentoring for Professionals Program. This role includes establishing mentoring relationships with professionals to serve as mentors and providing a program that offers training, networking and professional growth opportunities for participants. Teresa has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University. An experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioner, her focus is facilitating continuous improvement and maximizing resources. Teresa has managed and led projects in IT, finance, supply chain, quality, development, and manufacturing. She has extensive experience pioneering and integrating systems across multiple sites around the world.


Elaine Phillips - Treasurer
Elaine ensures that Alliance of Technology and Women’s record keeping is current and accurate. She is a project manager with Motorola's cellular networks division in Tempe, Arizona. Elaine received an Executive MBA at ASU, is PMP certified, active with the Phoenix PMI chapter and a member of the Economic Club of Phoenix. She believes in a 'hand up' and enjoys helping communities through microfinance and seeks opportunities to use her skills and network to help anyone looking for help.
