Many of you are engaged in social media either professionally or personally but don’t quite get the value of it or know why it’s such a big deal. During this talk we will cover:
• Some of the realities and statistics of social media, including case studies across multiple industries and real life examples of “wins” in social media
• Legal and regulatory pitfalls of social media usage by you and your staff - latest case law and regulations
• Location based services and virtual reality - the next phases in social media
• History of social media – did you know that it has bee around for over 10 years?

Don’t miss this truly educational, interactive, and hands-on discussion about social media that is practical and useful, not theory-based or fluffy.

Amanda Vega is the CEO of Amanda Vega Consulting – a full service marketing firm specializing in social media, social media compliance, PR and other related web activities. She began her career at AOL as a chat moderator 20 years ago and helped to roll out Instant Messenger and Love@AOL and AIM. Amanda has an MBA from Columbia University and has also completed graduate work at the Wharton School of Business. After selling her second firm to Ogilvy and Mather in 2000, she moved to New York City and opened Amanda Vega Consulting, which now has over 180 team members in 15 countries and 4 languages that span four offices: Phoenix, NYC, Dallas, and Shanghai servicing clients of all sizes from start-ups to Banana Republic, LG, and British Airways.

Parking
The Phoenix Plaza Parking Garage is located on the NW corner of Thomas Rd. and 2nd Street.
If guests drive themselves, they may park in the garage for $1 per 20 minutes or $12 for a full day (four hours or more).
Guests may also use the Light Rail. They may visit www.valleymetro.org/metro_light_rail for more information.

Building
Park in the Phoenix Plaza Parking Garage. Walk through the plaza and out the double doors. Our building is directly to the right of the fountain. Look for the 2929 address on the glass doors.
